With her experience and training around mental health, Autumn believes that fostering a space of compassion and acceptance is integral to academic growth. She strives to empower students to become active navigators in their education through collaboration, inquiry, and awareness. Autumn’s degrees position her with an interdisciplinary knowledge of human cognition, culture, and behavior. She is currently pursuing her master’s in counseling with a focus in ecotherapy for survivors of interpersonal trauma.

Autumn’s Study Tip: “Context-dependent cues help facilitate memory retrieval! For your next exam, study in a similar settings to the event. Alternatively, recreate your emotional or cognitive state with a mood playlist or meditation.”

Originally from Houston, Texas, Scott has taught in both secondary and higher education and has been tutoring professionally since 2005. He sees tutoring as an opportunity for any student to become a better learner. Scott specializes in coaching students with LD and is motivated by seeing his students transform their potential into action.
