David Harris

Dave Harris is the owner of Dog Star Prep, LLC™, a college and career readiness firm based in picturesque Las Cruces, New Mexico. He has over 30 years of experience in higher education having served as a college president, business dean, MBA director at the University of Utah, and an award-winning faculty member. Dave also lived in Japan for over 16 years and served as an executive at Itochu Corporation and Murata, two leading Japanese companies. He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Master of Management from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. Dave is also a Certified Professional Coach. His one-of-a-kind college and career readiness program, Become the Dog Star™, shows students how to differentiate themselves to stand out to prospective employers and higher education institutions.
