Our team is here to offer expert support and guide your student through each step of their academic journey. No question is too big or small – reach our staff directly by calling or emailing during our posted client support hours.
Billing & Payments
Pay only for the sessions you need.
Payment for all 1:1 tutoring is processed via credit card or ACH transfer at time of purchase for tutoring programs or weekly for hourly tutoring (after an initial deposit).
All purchases are non-refundable, but sessions may be converted to another service of equal or lesser value with appropriate notice. Tutoring package sessions are only valid for 12 months after purchase.

Scheduling & Cancellations
Flexible options to fit your schedule.
To alter a tutoring session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Courtesy session reminders are auto-sent as emails. To cancel, you must contact us at 503/468-6905 or info@northaveeducation.com. Late-cancelled or no-show sessions are subject to the full tutoring rate and/or will be deducted from your package balance.
To ensure tutors are adequately prepared for every session, we rarely support same-day session bookings. For urgent tutoring needs, call us to discuss options.
If a tutor is unable to attend a session, we’ll be in touch as soon as possible to reschedule or secure a substitute tutor.
Scheduling & Billing
Booking sessions is quick and seamless through our client portal. Watch the video tutorial at left to learn more about our portal, Noto.
After you book sessions, our team will confirm the appointments in the system. If any changes are necessary, we’ll reach out as soon as we can.
To reschedule a tutoring session outside of the 24-hour cancellation window, simply click on the appointment in your portal and click reschedule.

Payments for are processed automatically the day after your tutoring session via the client portal.
Online Tutoring
The link to join your session can be found in the location field of your emailed session reminder, as well as in the event details on the calendar in your account.
Please arrive on time, fully focused, and prepared with all learning materials needed for your session.
All tutors have permanent Google Meet links so you’ll join the same link each time you meet with your specific tutor. They will admit you to the meeting room at the start of your appointment.
Official SAT & ACT Testing
These video tutorials will guide you through registering for an official SAT or ACT exam. Plan for this process to take 30 minutes.
Before you begin, we recommend having a stable internet connection, a credit card or other form of payment, your high school course details, and a headshot of yourself (or your student).
We advise signing up for the student search services during registration, which will allow the College Board or the ACT to connect you with colleges, universities, and scholarship opportunities that fit your academic profile and extracurricular interests.
These videos also include directions for adding Question-and-Answer (QAS) and Test Information Release (TIR) services to your registration, yielding access to the official exam you took on test day.

Visit our client portal. Choose the student you’d like to book for. Select your service from the list, and then your tutor and whether you would like to work with a tutor based at one of our locations or online. Your tutor’s availability will automatically populate; select your preferred day and time.

We recommend consistent, regular sessions within a defined timeline to meet your stated academic goals. Since our tutors book up in busy seasons, we advise scheduling all desired sessions in advance – thereby securing your ideal schedule. Payment is processed only for attended (or late-canceled) sessions.
Hourly clients are limits to booking up to 3 weeks in advance; to book out further, purchase a tutoring package and book all desired sessions up to 6 months in advance.

To ensure our tutors arrive adequately prepared for every lesson, same-day session bookings are rarely supported. For this reason, we encourage students to book all desired sessions in advance.

Online tutoring students are expected to secure access to reliable WiFi and test their devices before joining a scheduled session. Our tutors are trained to help troubleshoot, but if a connection that supports videoconferencing cannot be maintained, the session may be canceled and payment forfeited.
We strongly advise planning ahead to conduct online tutoring sessions from home, school, or another trusted location.

On a desktop, log into your account. Within the parent profile, select the Invoices tab. Click on an invoice to view or download.

Our clients’ data privacy is extremely important to North Avenue Education, and your information will never be shared with any third parties for promotional purposes. We follow strict guidelines in protecting client information as stored in our internal systems, and users are welcome to opt out of any marketing efforts made by North Avenue Education (e.g., email alerts). Mobile information and text messaging is reserved for direct communication use only through North Avenue’s administrative team.
