Start Early, Stay Calm: Crafting an SAT & ACT Game Plan for 2026-2027

Most families we talk with are asking the same three questions: Does my student need to test? When should we start? How much prep is enough?

This hour-long session from North Avenue Education answers them with a plan. We'll cover how today's college testing rules actually work, what PSAT results can and can't tell you, and how to choose between the SAT and ACT. Starting early is what keeps the rest calm. A few months of runway leaves room to try both tests, retake if it helps, and protect your student's grades and activities along the way.

You'll leave knowing whether, when, and how to test, how to decide if and when to submit scores, and what a realistic study timeline and budget look like. If your student has PSAT scores, bring them. Time for Q&A is included.

Led by Scott Clyburn, founder of North Avenue Education.
