What’s Happening This Summer
Our summer enrichment workshops run June through August, with something for students at every stage. Rising freshmen building habits before high school starts, sophomores and juniors developing the academic and technical skills that matter in rigorous coursework, and seniors preparing for the transition to college.
Each workshop is a focused, standalone session: two hours, one topic, one expert instructor, and a room capped at 12 students. There's no prerequisite and no multi-week commitment. No. These are standalone 2-hour enrichment sessions focused on a single topic, with no prerequisite and no multi-week commitment. North Avenue also offers longer programs this summer, including SAT and ACT prep courses, the Study Skills Launchpad, and College Essay Express. You'll find links to those above.

Yes, and we'd encourage it. Each workshop is independent, so students can attend as many as fit their schedule and interests. If you're not sure which ones make sense together, browse by grade level or theme using the filters above – or reach out and we'll make a recommendation.

Because these are single 2-hour sessions, there isn't an opportunity to make up missed content within the same workshop. If your student can't attend the date they registered for, contact us as soon as possible – we'll do our best to transfer their registration to another session of the same workshop if one is available. We cannot offer refunds, and all workshops are offered in a hybrid format (in-person and online) to allow busy students to participate in their preferred format.

Each workshop is designed around a single skill or topic area. Sessions are hands-on and interactive, so students should expect to participate actively, not just listen. The instructor will share a specific structure at the start of each session, and will adapt the pace to the group.

These workshops are designed to be complete in two hours. There's no assigned homework, though students may leave with recommended resources or next steps they can pursue on their own. The goal is that they walk out with something they can apply immediately.

Yes. Our summer enrichment workshops are a great starting point, but North Avenue's core offering is personalized 1:1 tutoring – available year-round, including summer. If your student needs more individualized support than a workshop provides, get in touch and we'll match them with the right tutor.
